Weekly Announcements | February 3, 2019
Read below to keep up-to-date on what’s happening at Liberty Baptist Church.
Fellowship Dinner Canceled
The Fellowship dinner that was scheduled for February 10 has been canceled.
We need 3-4 women to offer their time and energy to help clean Vernon & Opal Graham’s home every other week. Their home would need general cleaning. The kitchen, bathrooms, vacuuming and occasional dusting. Per Sue, they have all the cleaning supplies needed at their home. Sue or her brother Dennis would be able to show us where everything is upon arrival. If you are interested in serving in this way please contact Stephanie Leatherbury (firstname.lastname@example.org) or at (816) 651-0135.
Gift Cards for the Tokarchuks
The Tokarchuks will be fostering 1-2 children and will most likely be getting them in February. The Shower Team was thinking that the best thing for them would not be a shower but a gift card collection (Target, Walmart, OshKosh B’gosh). They could get children from the ages of 6 months-7. This creates a large span of needs that they need to be prepared for. They could need diapers or school supplies. Throughout the month of January, there will be a basket in the foyer for you to give them gift cards. Fostering is a beautiful way to minister to children and take care of their physical needs. We can help them in this unique role by offsetting the cost of some essential items.
